American Nuclear Society, UNLV Student Chapter
We are the UNLV Student chapter of the American Nuclear Society. With members from several STEM disciplines including engineering, radiochemistry, and health physics, we enjoy showing others that nuclear science and technology is not something to be afraid of. We work together to network, share research, and encourage students in studying nuclear topics.
We host several outreach events each year, including our Nuclear Scout Workshops which have introduced over 800 Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to nuclear science. Funding is also available for members to attend national conferences where they can make new contracts, hear about new and ongoing research, as well as present their own research work.
